La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas: organizadora de los Oscars, ha invitado a 395 artistas para formar parte de su equipo.
La organización encargada de la realización de los Oscars: La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de Estados Unidos, acaba de anunciar la lista de 395 artistas invitados para formar parte de la misma, entre quienes se encuentran la actriz mexicana Eiza Gonzalez y el intérprete Luis Gerardo Méndez.
Entre algunos de los nombres más relevantes se encuentra el de la histrión Yuh-Jung Youn -reciente ganadora del Oscar a Mejor Actriz de Reparto por Minari-, Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), Andra Day (The United States vs. Billie Holiday), Vanessa Kirby (Pieces of a Woman), Leslie Odom Jr (One Night In Miami), y Steven Yeun (Minari).
Las invitaciones incluyen a 89 nominados a los Oscars y 25 ganadores/as de la presea, mientras que 46% son mujeres, 39% son de comunidades subrepresentadas, y 53 % provienen de países fuera de Estados Unidos. Según la Academia los anteriores porcentajes se deben a sus intenciones de “traer mayor diversidad a la organización.”
Por otro lado, la organización detrás de los Oscars aclaró que la reducción del número total de invitados en relación con el año pasado -donde fueron 819 nuevos/as miembros-, se debe a que se encuentran buscando “garantizar la infraestructura, los recursos del personal, y entornos necesarios para apoyar a todos/as las/os miembros de la misma.”
