Se dieron a conocer los nominados a los BAFTA 2021 y sorprendieron por su amplia diversidad.
Los premios BAFTA son otorgados por la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión. Tras el anuncio de sus nominaciones, se destacó que cuatro mujeres están compitiendo a mejor dirección, incluida Chloé Zhao por “Nomadland”, tras ganar el Globo de Oro y recientemente el Critics Choice tiene grandes posibilidades de llevarse otro premio más.
Por otro lado, más de la mitad de los nominados pertenecen a alguna minoría, entre los que destacan “Judas and the Black Messiah”, y los actores Bukky Bakray y Daniel Kaluuya.
